In line with the internationalization objectives of the Luiss strategic plan and with the global DNA of our University, the Luiss Alumni Association (ALL) pays constant attention to the development of existing chapters and the creation of new chapters abroad. The limitations deriving from the pandemic did not prevent the establishment of new chapters. In the summer of 2021, Chapter ALL California (that includes our graduates residing in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco) was founded; it is led by Daniele Drago, an Economics graduate currently working as a Financial Advisor for private and institutional clients at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Beverly Hills (with previous responsibilities in asset management for institutional clients also in New York, Buenos Aires, and London).
At the end of 2021, Luiss graduate Cristina Diofebbo, currently the Senior Director Pricing, Advance Analytics, Data Strategy and Operations at Sky Europe, was appointed as the Leader of Chapter London. ALL Chapter London is the largest Chapter abroad with about 600 Luiss graduates residing in the city. Cristina has held various positions at Sky (in the field of strategy, marketing, analytics and data and supported senior executives in the areas of consumer business, commercial, and marketing, content TV, product development, and operations) and has previous experience working at American Express and UBS Bank, also in London.
The new year began with the creation of three new ALL Chapters abroad:
In Switzerland with about 300 graduates residing in Zurich, Geneva, and Basel, our Chapter leader is Simona Scarpaleggia, currently independent director (NED- Non-executive Director) of Autogrill, Hornbach Holding, and Hornbach Baumarkt, EDGE Strategy, Brainforest, and formerly CEO of EDGE Strategy (a leading company in certification for gender equality), as well as CEO of IKEA Switzerland for a decade. As an experienced international manager, Simona has engaged extensively in promoting gender equality and women enhancement in the economy (having co-founded and chaired Valore D in Italy and Advance Women in business in Switzerland), as well as environmental, social, and governance sustainability.
As part of Chapter ALL Dubai, Francesco Bulleri, graduated in Law, and is currently working at ADG Legal (with previous experience in the Company and Finance department of Bonelli Erede law firm and as in-house counsel at Gucci and Axitea). Francesco will be responsible for leading the graduate group in a dynamic environment characterized by professional and business stimuli.
There is also a significant presence of Luiss graduates in Luxembourg, who mainly engage in the financial sector and in European institutions. Luigi Colavolpe was appointed Leader of Chapter ALL Luxembourg. He has extensive experience at UniCredit, specializing in finance and risk management, and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager responsible for Wealth Management in Luxembourg. The goal of Chapter Luxembourg is to strengthen the presence of the Luiss Alumni Association on site and explore possible synergies and common projects with local institutions and neighboring Chapters.
On this occasion, we invite our graduates to rely on the Luiss Alumni Association and the network of foreign Chapters by contacting us when moving to countries where ALL Chapter Abroad is present, and to engage in projects, events, and collaborations.
